Seth and I were at the Como Zoo again this morning. Seeing the masses of people upon trying to enter when the doors open at 10 am we zoomed away from the flow of traffic and went to the Children's Gallery. There we bumped into our friends from The Dzioba Family. They also were trying to avoid the masses.
It was wonderful for Seth to get to play for awhile uninterrupted and mom even got a minute of adult time too : ) The gallery is really pretty cool as Seth got to feed the animals (all pretend, but very real for him) and also make it rain. I love it when kids can use their own senses to discover, especially touch!
We headed over to see some animals but once Seth heard the sounds of the big machines it was all over. Who needs animals when you can watch a construction project? We skipped the tigers and lions, only paused to say hello to the buffalo, and spent the majority of our time just watching a Caterpillar Excavator moving a huge pile of dirt. I am starting to wonder if my son will actually ever enjoy the Polar Bear Exhibit they are working on or just spend the next few years talking about the "big machines" that built it.

So great to see you today! It is funny... as we walked by all the construction, Allie couldn't have cared less, but I noticed at least 3 moms with little boys watching all the trucks. And I glanced down at Zach in the stroller and his eyes were also glued to the trucks!
