Crockpot recipes make me think of fall days, cooler air, apple orchards and football games. The more I think about it the more glorious it sounds. Those days are just around the corner too.
I love homemade chicken noodle soup and therefore am always looking for new ways to make it. I found this recipe while doing a google search a few years back. It is really easy, as you just throw it all in your crockpot for the day, and really tasty, which is why we have made it several times now. (Seth particularly likes to eat out all the noodles, chicken and peas!)

I love to serve this one up with bread or fresh homemade two-bakes (a German roll recipe I will have to share another time).
Need more? I just happen to have one more recipe up my sleeve today. This recipe was passed on from a close friend at our church. She made this soup for us when I was on bed-rest with Seth and it quickly became a family favorite. Funny to think that now Seth is even eating it with us! This one doesn't win points for easy so I always make a double batch and freeze for a second meal, but it is one of the tastiest soups I have ever experienced. Serve it up with hot, garlic bread sticks and you will find yourself licking the bowl!
Cheesy Wild Rice Soup
1/2 cup uncooked wild rice, cooked per package directions
1/2 lb. bacon - cooked and crumbled
1/2 medium onion sauteed
1 qt. milk
2 cans Cream of Potato Soup
1/2 lb. Velveeta Cheese
Start by slowly melting the cheese in a lg Crockpot with a small amount of the milk. Once cheese is melted add other ingredients, stir occasionally to keep from scorching as it simmers. I let it sit about two to four hours on low to be sure it is good and hot!
Enjoy these today or wait for the cooler weather and make a fresh apple pie for dessert after you get home from the orchard!

I love chick noodle! Sounds like a great recipe.
Do you think it's missing broth, or does the onion/carrot/chicken/salt make a good enough broth??
I have enjoyed it the way it is, but you could always play with it more!
I love crockpots during the summer too, as they don't heat up the kitchen like the stove and oven do.
