It's Foody Friday once again. This week we are sharing recipes about berries. In honor of the blog I purchased four pints of blueberries and four lbs. of strawberries! I love berries! My absolute favorite berry dish requires no recipe whatsoever. I simply fill a bowl with washed and slightly frozen blueberries and strawberries and the cover with whipped topping to enjoy. Yummy. I may have some tonight!
We love berries so much in our house we buy them in large quantities when they are on sale and freeze them. I enjoy berries best cold and as I suggested even slightly frozen. The best way to freeze berries is to wash them and lay them out on large cookies sheets. I then place them in the freezer for an hour or so until just crisp. Then I bag them up in Ziploc Freezer bags to save for another day. They are great for recipes too. I love to plop frozen blueberries in my homemade muffins. What a treat!
For today I wanted to share an easy and super yummy recipe Jason and I tried this past week. It would be great to serve for company or, like us, it saves well in the freezer to keep enjoying too. So here's the big chill!
Raspberry Summer Sensation (Click on the title to see the recipe and a short info video!)
It makes a beautiful dish. I hope you enjoy it.

I was just thinking of freezing some strawberries but wasn't sure of the best way to do it. But I have a feeling they will get eaten before I get to it.
