Pink Shoes?!

Our son loves shoes, boots, slippers. If it goes on your feet he wants to try it on, usually without your help too. There is nothing wrong with this love in my opinion, but here is where it gets a bit silly. Two days a week I watch a little girl in our home and she more often than not wears pink shoes. She also has this killer pair of pink cowgirl boots. Makes sense - girls and pink. What doesn't make sense: my son's willingness to kill for the chance to wear the pink shoes! Today he tried to hold her down to take of the pink cowgirl boots! It was amazing. If the life of this little girl wasn't in my hands I might have just stood there a watched a little longer, but of course I had to break it up. I have to admit Seth looks good in pink and who wouldn't want a pair of cowboy boots?! So where do I draw the line? Let's put it this way... I will buy him a doll but not a pair of pink Mary Jane's.
