Home and Garden Show

You never know how your child is going to react to certain things. This morning for example we all went to the Home and Garden Show, hoping that it would turn out to be a fun time as a family. It turns out we were right. As soon as you enter there was paper and pens to sign up for door prizes. Fun for toddlers who love to collect pens! I think we were able to return them all, but one which we kept to fill out drawing forms the rest of the show. Biggest bonus - each table had candy. Now our little guy has never been given candy other than an M & M so he really was just attracted to the bright colors but it does mean extra yummies for Dad and Mom. He also won the hearts of presenters and received two matchbox toy cars to zoom around the room with and a yellow hat labeling him a member of the Public Works Department. He had a good time walking around and we learned a few more options when it comes to home remodel projects. So it was worth the time for all of us. Better yet, a warn out kid takes a good afternoon nap!
