As a huge fan of The Biggest Loser on NBC I am in dire need of a new series, the nursing mothers edition. I want to get rid of the jell-o like tire around my waste but there are too many excuses!
I'm too tired!
I don't know how to eat so the necessary calories but keep them being "empty".
I only lose such and such pounds a week and that makes me feel dejected.
I could go on.
I am sure they could round up plenty of willing moms who would bring themselves, along with their nursing infants, to The Ranch to drop the pounds with the help of professionals. Seriously, even one of those fancy Biggest Loser books would work for me. I have "the support system at home" to pull it off!
Since my idea is not likely to become a reality I am stuck at home to my own devices. Currently that includes watching what I eat (avoiding those horrible chocolate cravings is hard though) and trying to get in a few ab workouts here and there. Thanks to some friends I have a bike trainer in the basement. My husband set it up right away so I would have no excuse. I was on it for like three minutes and lost feeling in my legs and gave up.
A bike trainer for those who do not know allows you to set up your bike indoors. It basically turns your normal outdoor ride into a spin class indoors. It is a great workout and super handy as I can now avoid the cold mornings and be available to the kids as they seem to be waking up during the wee hours of the morn when I should be getting exercise.
Now some motivation to just get back in the saddle again...
