After 8 years I can still zip the thing - amazing!On Monday June 15 we celebrated 8 years of marriage. Hard to believe that we have been together that long already and yet there is that oneness of having been together that makes it seem more than possible. We got away for the weekend to Wilderness Fellowship where we enjoy staying in their prayer cabins. Grandpa and grandma filled in as parents to allow us to do such a thing.
It was amazing to have some time just to ourselves. We have been so busy that even a date night has been a stretch. It was good to sit down and discuss where we have been, a little bit about where we are headed and my favorite: why we love each other. It makes a great conversation if you have not tried it recently. I highly recommend you talk about why you love your spouse as often as possible!
A tradition of our anniversaries is for me to get into my wedding dress. Believe it or not it has happened almost every year. It is a great tradition and then that dress gets a bit more use too!
I love this photo the best. The lighting in the woods was amazing and shall I say quite romantic too?!
