Family day at the fire station. I love the plates - they say it all.Our next unit for at home learning is Emergency Vehicles. What better way to kick it off then Touch a Truck day at our local fire station? Seth was in heaven when we arrived to see not only the fire trucks out in full force, but Public Works also provided a skid loader, a front-end loader, a snow plow and various mowers and equipment to climb on. He had to try them all out! To top it off Sparky the fire dog was there passing out stickers and buttons. He even got popcorn for snack. Oh and did I mention two of our friends from ECFE were there and Tate too? A little boy's dream come true!
Seth testing out a John Deere mower.
Driving a Bobcat requires work gloves?
Seth's favorite, the front-loader. You can see his red Husker hat in the cab if you look closely. The little guy will be dreaming about this moment for months! I can't believe he climbed all the way up. I think even Dad was enjoying it.
Our little man Tate was there with his family too. Our future fire fighters! (That would be popcorn in Seth's mouth. Always eating it seems.)For those of you who are keeping up with our book lists the next one should be out sometime this week on Emergency Vehicles.
