Seth's First Sentence

Seth is gaining new vocabulary by the day but stringing his words together has taken time. Some current faves are "beat you" (though you can rest assured that nobody is getting beaten up around here) and "come Mom" when he needs me. This past week however he extended to a three word sentence, his first ever. I am not sure whether to be thrilled or hurt however. We were playing with his toys together and apparently I wasn't doing things right because he turned to me and said, "Go way Mom." I paused and looked at him wondering if I had heard him right. He seemed to think I was dense and took my hand and led me dumbstruck into the other room then went back to play by himself. So Mr. Independent has risen! Mom's like being needed, but it was nice to have a few minutes just watching him play and realizing that he is a BIG boy now and will not always need me. (Pictured here eating "pop" as he calls his new favorite snack, popcorn, while relaxing on our kitchen counter.)
