Deer Steaks (Jason's family recipe)
approx. 2 lbs of deer steaks
1 can Golden Mushroom Soup
1/2 can water
1/2 lb. bacon, chopped
onion, chopped
garlic powder for seasoning
Season the steaks with garlic powder and then brown in large pan. Fry bacon until crispy and then sautee onions. Mix all ingredients in a casserole dish and cove tightly. Cook at 300 degrees for 3 hours, maybe more depending on thickness of steaks.
(This is one a the few ways I truly enjoy deer as the long cooking time and flavorful ingredients take away any "gamey" taste.)

Twice Baked Potatoes (Martha Stewart)
(These were way easier than any twice baked I have tried and the taste was great. I overlooked the chives as the cost was too much for the 2 tbsp need but if you have some on hand it would add a great touch!)
My mouth is watering remembering how good it was, even with the interruption of Seth having to run to the bathroom and in his hurry falling in. Of course his hand went all the way down soaking his arm in a toilet full of urine! Fun times always happen when you least want them too!
