Martha Stewart I am not, but from time to time I have to give her credit for a great recipe. Rarely do I find them in the "easy" category but sometimes she surprises me. When it first came out I had a subscription to Martha Stewart Everyday Food magazine. I liked more how it looked than how practical it was, which is why I only got it for a short time. Not being a wine drinker that section never appealed much to me. Then there are always the ingredients I have never heard of let alone hunger for on my dinner table. Did you know Ratatouille is actually a stew like dish with chopped up eggplant and zucchini? If you were in touch with Martha Stewart you would have...
Anyway, the Everyday Food magazines are the ones I am going through these days searching for any recipe that might be worth saving. I have been pleasantly surprised by some of the helpful kitchen tips and most certainly the tips on buying fresh produce as I do that much more often now than ever before.
Thanks to her we had some splendid steamed
asparagus with course salt and butter this

week. Next to that was
Easy Roasted Chicken which is great for so many dishes and actually rather healthy too. Not to be a show off, but on the table that same night was also homemade
Macaroni and Cheese. The chicken was so tender and juicy while the Mac and Cheese was a bit dry, maybe because I omitted the ham?! We did like the flavor so I kept the recipe to try again with the ham. The extra chicken is working great for sandwiches and I hope to shred up some more for lunch Quesadillas too. I love meals that go the extra mile, it makes them worth the time and effort!
Try inviting
Martha into your home sometime soon. Her website has a ton of FREE information on buying produce and recipes!
