Ho Ho Ho, Green Giant

Just recently Seth was asking about the man on the can of green beans. I told him all about the Green Giant and how he says, "ho, ho, ho." Which of course Seth pointed out is exactly what Santa says. True. But how funny then when we got to see the Green Giant in person!

Small town statues are so funny. I have actually seen plenty as I come from small town USA myself, but Seth got his first chance to see one up close while we traveled to SD this past weekend to see family. In Blue Earth, MN you can actually visit the Green Giant. It is terribly funny and quite an adventure in the snow. We pulled the car up as far as we could and J jumped out with Seth into the snow bank, no coats or anything and tried to get closer. Apparently the Green Giant does not receive many visitors in the winter as no path was shoveled or cleared. Unfortunate for J who actually went down right on his behind taking Seth with him. I sat in the car taking pictures and laughing the whole time. What a great stop for laughs!

It is hard to see, but you can find Seth and Jason there in the corner. After taking on snow that was as far as they got to the man in green tights...
