One Sick Kid

I hate illness. It is no fun for anyone involved. In fact I am now wondering if Seth has it worse being the one sick or me being the one having to clean up after and deal with the sick child. I mean you just don't get paid enough as a stay at home mom to get thrown up on and have to scrub diarrhea out of clothing. The water heater can't even keep up with the number of times I have to throw him in the tub each day!

It all started Thursday afternoon and I keep praying that the end is in sight. That some amount of food will stick to the poor child's ribs and not come up, or go straight through. Now, however it is Monday, a new week, and seemingly not a hopeful one.

I feel at a total loss and have since 6:30 this morning when I woke to the shouts of "Mommy POOPY!" coming from his crib.

Laundry load number...I guess I lost track.

It's happened to us all. Do you have any words of encouragement or advice for a mother of a sick little boy? I could use all the help I can get!

Hey Mandy,

Obviously no advice from me, but I wanted to let you know I'm thinking about you and praying for a healthy little boy so you can get some rest and enjoy this weather. Hope things are looking up this afternoon.

I hope Seth gets better soon. Good luck making it through!

How is Seth doing?! And how are you doing?! We were out of town and so I haven't checked up on blogs very frequently. So sorry to hear that the 'yuck' has hit your home! I think one of the hardest parts of being a mom is taking care of sick kids. It can be incredibly difficult and draining...and especially hard because you just want to make them all better right away :) Allie has had a lot of 'yuck' this year (complete with puking) and so we have had a lot of jello, saltine crackers, pedialyte flavored with crystal light (she won't drink it any other way), and probably way too many videos.
