Memorial Day Weekend
This year we headed up to my parents for Memorial Day Weekend. The intent was to do some house painting for them as getting on a ladder in your sixties is a little more dangerous then in your late twenties. Unfortunately the weather was typical Memorial Day Weekend in MN, meaning windy, cloudy and cold one day and hot, sunny and humid the next. In the end we got the two ends with the highest peaks done which my parents felt was a huge success.
Seth helped with the painting though his bucket was filled with water, not blue house paint. He also spent plenty of time climbing the ladders while mom kept a close watch. Our little monkey had no fear climbing all the way up the side of the house! Crazy little guy. The hose came out Sunday since that was when the sun and the heat came out too. Seth is not used to shorts, nor bare feet. He would NOT touch the grass with his feet! He would scream, "poke" and run away. Even the hose in the grass would not tempt him. Finally we just put on his rain boots and the torture ended.
On Monday we visited our friends the Opdahl's in the Fertile-Beltrami area. Between their three kids, Seth and a cousin we had quite the crowd. The kids enjoyed running and playing outside together (in the garage because it was so cold) with their four new kittens. We pretty much had to hold them down to get a few pictures. Tessa (about 6 mo) stayed out of the pictures where it was seemingly safer.
