A Little Bit of Both Worlds

This morning the weather was georgous! By eight am Seth and Tate were strapped into the Burley Stroller and we were off to Super Target (about a mile walk) to pick up a couple items and then watch the building construction on the new D'Amico and Sons. They are using excavators and skid steers - what more could two boys want?! We enjoyed sunshine and a light breeze. Even after coming home Seth and I stayed out and played while Tate took his morning nap.

After lunch you could see the wind had picked up and now it is pouring rain! When it rains and we are stuck inside Seth and I always bake something, or at least almost always. (My goal is to fill the freezer with a wide variety of cookies to last us through the hot summer months when I don't want to use the oven. Today we tried our cousin Emily's Chocolate Peanut Butter Bar Recipe from Little Home on the Range. I have to say - it is amazing. They taste like homemade Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. I can't keep my hands off. At the rate I'm going Jason won't even get a bite and I will be sick to my stomach until June!

I hope you will give it a try next time you have a rainy day - or just need chocolate, which is any or every day for me!

Thanks for the link to the recipe! I was looking for something easy with not too many ingredients to make for mother's day! And, of course, it had to be CHOCOLATE for all the moms in our life! (1 sister, 1 sister-in-law, 2 moms and a grandma!). Thanks for helping me out! :)
