Tag, Your It

Get this, there are games to play in the world of blogging and I have just been tagged. So here goes, my first "meme" a series of questions I must answer and then some lucky ducks I choose will have the opportunity to follow suit.

10 Years Ago:
I was a freshman at Northwestern College in Roseville, MN. I was dating a guy from back home in Moorhead, MN and trying to figure out what my major was going to be. I was an editor for the yearbook, very close friends of Jon and Russ from my freshmen seminar class, working in the Northwestern College Ticket Office and applying to be a Resident Assistant for sophomore year.

Things On My To Do List Today:
Funny how I just updated it before turning on the computer.
1. Thaw and bake frozen bread dough before noon.
2. Prep meatloaf for supper.
3. Meatloaf and potatoes in oven at 4pm.
4. Leave for Chiropractor at 4pm.
5. Call cardiologist for Seth's 2 year follow up.
6. Call Rose concerning next Edge series (Sunday School stuff)
7. Start typing recipes for Johnson family cookbook update.
8. Clean house!
9. Some things may be too personal to share so just know there were 10 things total!

Three of My Bad Habits:
1. I am a worrier. I worry often times for no reason at all and just get stressed. Today I was worried about Seth waking up so early and wetting the bed and not being able to get back to sleep after being changed. That was around 5:30am and it is now almost 8am and he's resting fine, otherwise I wouldn't be doing this.
2. I tend to get too many things going at once and forget where I started and how I even got so far into something. For example: I will have two things on the stove, one in the oven, salad fixin's on the counter and be standing with spoon in hand wondering what needed stirring in the first place or was it actually the tongs I wanted and what did I set the timer for?! Hum...amnesia or just overtired mom?!
3. Rationalizing food temptations. Dark chocolate M&M's are on sale for $2? Sure I think there is money in the budget. We haven't eaten out in weeks, I'll just pick up Chili's chips and salsa and some strawberry lemonade, it won't break the entertainment budget. Justify, justify, justify...

If I suddenly became a billionaire:
My husband and I have different opinions on this one, but I would most certainly pay off any debt first. After that I would need a day, or maybe a week, at the spa and a shopping spree for some new clothes. I also have always dreamed of driving a Porsche (or something similarly sexy and fast) at top speeds through the mountains - I think money could get that dream taken care of.

Five Jobs I Have Had:
Boy have I had my share, as I love to try new things.
1. Check out girl at Hornbacher's in Moorhead. (Always ranked top five fastest too!)
2. Worked for USDA collecting bugs off of corn plants. I also got to drive a huge pickup truck that pulled our tractor to the fields out of town. (Seems like a stretch, I know, but it was a great summer and my tan and new found farming muscles made me look great!)
3. Preschool teacher for multicultural kids ages 2-5. (There were 15 languages present among my class roster. It was quite amazing the ways we learned to communicate!)
4. Special Education Paraprofessional for a boy with Autism who was violent. (I got my first real punch to the gut from a Kindergardener!)
5. Children's Ministry Intern at Grace Church Roseville. (Where my ulcers from the Special Ed job healed but the stress still kept me up at night.)
6. Instructor at Archiver's in Roseville teaching scrapbooking and preservation classes. (So little stress and so much joy we got pregnant with our son after I worked there one month!)
Oops, I guess I got carried away, there's six.

Five Things People Don't Know About Me:
*You have to keep in mind my parents are reading this - it won't get too exciting!
1. I keep a daily journal of our son's waking and sleeping habits. (Odd yes, but helpful too.)
2. I keep Colace on hand for those times when nature isn't keeping me regular. (Well, it works!)
3. I love to read murder mysteries. The more plot twists the better. I want to be the one to think up the perfect murder for a novel someday and make millions.
4. Fast cars make my temperature rise and my blood pressure increase. I would love to drive a race car just once or take a sweet ride on one of those "closed" courses. Zoom, zoom!
5. I love to color! Seth gets new crayons all the time just because I have a Crayola fetish.

Wow, that was a ton of information. I feel almost drained! I hope you laughed Kelly Jo and Laura because you're it!
