Play Date

Seth and I had a play date at our friend Ayden's house today. Seth loved the idea of different toys to play with and of course, their "doggie" Sally was tons of fun too. Seth has never been around a dog inside before. Fortunately, Sally is a gentle and understanding dog and they both got along fine. I enjoyed the time to talk to another mom and use full sentences for a couple of hours. It's always so refreshing to hang out with other moms in the trenches. We can really understand each other's battles. My friend took this photo and it's too cute not to share. Seth seems to make a good pirate. Ayden gave Seth his birthday present today too. A new CAT dozer/loader. He loves it. We had it out in the fresh snow and all throughout the house. Even the Birthday card was a winner. Seth wanted to hold it while he took his nap. I've recently learned not to allow that (see Hippos on the Loose), but it was cute.
