Church is FUN
Seth has not been the biggest fan of being left behind anywhere, but especially not at the church nursery. This morning he slept in and woke happy and ready to go. As parents we were hopeful that the day was off to a great start. Then I said it. The "c" word...church. He started to get fussy and just getting into the car was an all out struggle. We carried him into church flailing and crying. We stuck it out and dropped him off with hugs and kisses and any reassuring words we could think of. When Jason went to pick him up he was playing just fine and according to the teacher had been fine since we left him. Jason and Seth came down to find me in the Edge room where I work with our fifth and sixth grade students and things got crazy. All the kids love Seth and want to hold and play with him. It is really cute, but when it came time to go he would have much rather stayed and played with them. So Part Two started. We walked out the church building the same way we entered, with a screaming, thrashing child. We had to sit in the car and get resettled trying to calm him down. It was rough on all of us and we are still not sure why or what really all happened. Jason summed it up this way, "Church is F...U...N... sir!"
